I was once looking at these little insects--not sure what they're called, but they are just white poofs. They float around bushes and make what look like spider webs. Very cute-ghostly looking things--like something from a Studio Ghibli.

I smiled at them while on a walk, and thought clearly to myself, "These are my friendly spirits."

Just then, I get a call from an ex girlfriend that her sweet old grandma (who herself was "schizophrenic" possibly shamanic type) had died. "She's a friendly spirit now," she told me.

I don't know what to make of these sorts of things, but I enjoy them and they remind me how little we know.
