Suffering Has An Off Switch

You went camping and forgot you’re not homeless

I had a really good meditation recently. During it, I knew my problems are invented BY me, FOR me. That’s why I’m here.

When we get so caught up in the struggle, we forget we chose this. Sometimes the veil lifts, and we see it… “Oh, I wanted struggle, pain, and challenge. Suffering is just forgetting why I’m here.”

We walk around feeling abandoned. We forgot that we decided to come here so that we could experience separation.

You went camping and forgot you had a home all along. So you’re sitting in the woods feeling sorry for yourself.

You can go home anytime you want. The question is: Are you even ready to go home?

Why Don’t We All Just Go Home?

I went nearly 20 years without feeling oneness. If you don’t know what the hell I’m talking about, I understand. It’s not something you understand via these little symbols — it’s something you feel.

It’s an experience of nothing except consciousness. No ego, no time, no place — just awareness. Here are brain scans of what people look like during “oneness.”

You can get there, too. Just takes practice. The modern world makes information readily available…
